Amateur Chicken Championship
2007-2008
The National Amateur Chicken Championship held its first renewal in 1967 at Gleichen, Alberta, Canada. This trial show cases the epitome of big running bird dogs in search of the native sharptail grouse (referred as chicken) and Hungarian partridge. This is the kick off Championship for the A.F.T.C.A. and usually begins in late August.

Chicken Shooting Dog Champions
2007-2008
This Championship is one of the more recent titles to be put into competition, however, has had great support from many states with nice numbers of entries and plentiful game supply. Since its inception in 1990 it has been held at the Buena Vista Grassland near Wisconsin Rapids, WI, which is home to the Greater Prairie Chicken and an occasional covey of quail.

Chukar Championship
2007-2008
Just as the title denotes, the object of this championship is directed toward finding and handling chukar, albeit, an occasional find on Hungarian partridge is not uncommon. It is all age competition and the grounds provide ample room for a dog to show distanceand hunting pattern, in addition, to achieving his purpose on game. This running is rotated between the Reno, NV area, the Prosser, WA ground and Marsing, ID, usually in the month of April.

Chukar Shooting Dog Championsh
2007-2008
This stake operates basically as the National Amateur Chukar Championship with this competition designed for the ideal chukar dog at shooting dog range. The acumen with which these dogs navigate and hunt the rugged terrain is a magnificent feat to watch. This event is usually scheduled within the month of April.
