This facet of National Amateur Championship competition was designed to give

the shooting dogs with walking handlers a change to earn a National title.

Basically this is for dogs that do not range as distantly

as those handled from horse back.

Many different Regions have had an interest in hosting this stake and

it has been well traveled.
