National Amateur Quail Championship

The "Quail Championship" had its genesis back in 1918 and remains

the flagship event of the A.F.T.C.A. for all age dogs.

The heats are 90 minutes, making it a stake where endurance

is paramount.

It has more strict qualification for entry than other championships.

The location of this championship is selected by the President

and has been held in several parts of the country.

A traditional date of the first Monday in March has been waived, however,

it is usually held somewhere in this time frame.

Many great dogs proudly display this achievement in their records. The

Dixie Plantation, Quitman, GA will set the scene for the classic event

this spring.
