National Amateur Grouse Championship The National Amateur Grouse Championship's inaugural running was at Meredith, MI in 1978. The first several years this was to remain the grounds for the contest. Mora MN played host to the stakefor a few renewals. Marienville, PA and Kilkenny Forest in New Hampshire have also served as testing grounds on the elusive ruffed grouse. This fall fixture usually affords those in attendance not only ample wild game but magnificent fall foliage.
